Since 2006, Eng Hwa has served as a Member of Parliament for Holland-Bukit Timah Group Representative Constituency. He is the advisor to Young PAP Network sub-committee which handles membership matters.

Eng Hwa has been the Managing Director at DBS Bank since 1993.

A father of three, Eng Hwa jogs and plays golf for relaxation. He is also a keen music lover.

Eng Hwa schooled in Bukit Panjang English School and completed his 'O' levels in Anderson Secondary School. He then moved on to obtain a Diploma in Civil Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic before earning his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in the University of Melbourne.
