Our thoughts and wishes are with the family of the late Dr Goh Keng Swee at this time.
He was the economic architect of modern Singapore and laid the foundations for us in many important fields, including defence, education and industry. He was part of the generation of leaders that guided Singapore from Third World to First with their intelligence, vision and perseverance. We, the younger generation, are thankful to be standing on the shoulders of giants such as Dr Goh. We will work hard to protect this legacy that Dr Goh and his generation of leaders have left us, and hope that we can overcome any challenges we face with the same spirit he did. Young PAP |
