Lam Pin Min

Pin Min has been elected as a Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio Group Representative Constituency since 2006. He currently works as a Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Aged 40, he is married with 2 daughters.

Pin Min was educated in Anglo Chinese Primary and Secondary Schools and in National Junior College. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1993 and completed his internship one year later. Dr Lam signed on as a regular officer in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and held several appointments in the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

Whilst in service, Dr Lam obtained his Diploma in Aviation Medicine from United Kingdom in 1997, and subsequently Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCSEd) and Master of Medicine (MMED) in Ophthalmology in 2000.

Pin Min has a keen interest in jogging, swimming and water sports like canoeing and dragonboating. He is currently the Deputy President of the Singapore Dragonboat Association Management Committee.
