Online postings were made by an individual claiming to be a Young PAP (YP) member, using the name “Eric How”.

We have read the postings. They were insensitive, inappropriate and showed no empathy for fellow Singaporeans. The postings are in no way representative of what YP stands for.

YP supports the free exchange of views. We embrace a spectrum of opinions from all Singaporeans but slander, impersonation, abuse or the use of vulgarities do not promote reasoned debate. Given current online events and concerns, we wish to clarify that statements made by individuals should always be regarded as being made in their private capacity, unless otherwise indicated in official communication by the YP.
